The Girls Who Gather Code of Conduct ❤️

Last Updated: 17 June 2026

Our Commitment

The Girls Who Gather (TGWG) is a welcoming women’s community based on the Central Coast, dedicated to helping women 18+ build genuine friendships through inclusive events, shared experiences and meaningful connections.

This Code of Conduct exists to help create a safe, respectful and supportive environment where every member feels valued and welcome.

By joining our community, participating in our online spaces or attending a TGWG event, you agree to uphold the values and expectations outlined below.

Be Kind and Respectful

Treat every member, organiser, volunteer, venue staff, sponsor and partner with kindness, courtesy and empathy.

We encourage positive interactions and expect all members to communicate respectfully, both in person and online.

Welcome Others

Many women attend TGWG events on their own, often feeling nervous or stepping outside their comfort zone.

Please make an effort to introduce yourself, include others in conversations and help create an environment where every woman feels welcomed, supported and included.

Celebrate Diversity

We proudly welcome women from all backgrounds, cultures and life experiences.

Discrimination, bullying, harassment, intimidation, hate speech or exclusionary behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

Respect Personal Boundaries

Always respect another person's privacy, comfort level and personal space.

Consent, understanding and mutual respect should guide every interaction within our community.

Represent the Community Positively

Whether you're attending an event, participating in our WhatsApp groups or engaging on social media, please contribute in a way that reflects the positive, uplifting and inclusive values of The Girls Who Gather.

Follow Event and Venue Guidelines

Please follow any reasonable instructions provided by TGWG organisers, volunteers or venue staff and respect the rules and requirements of the locations where our events are held.

Safety First

Your safety and the wellbeing of others is our priority.

If you witness or experience behaviour that makes you or another member feel uncomfortable or unsafe, we encourage you to notify a TGWG organiser or team member as soon as possible.

Independent Meetups

One of the goals of The Girls Who Gather is to help women create genuine friendships that extend beyond our organised events.

However, any catch-ups, activities or arrangements organised privately between members are independent of TGWG and are not organised, supervised or endorsed by The Girls Who Gather.

Any interactions, meetings or activities that occur outside official TGWG events, communications or platforms are undertaken entirely at the participants' own discretion and risk. The Girls Who Gather accepts no responsibility or liability for these independent arrangements.

Unacceptable Behaviour

The following behaviours may result in immediate removal from an event or community space:

  • Bullying, harassment or intimidation
  • Discrimination, racism or hate speech
  • Aggressive, threatening or abusive behaviour
  • Unwanted physical contact or inappropriate conduct
  • Deliberate disruption of events or activities
  • Behaviour that compromises the safety or wellbeing of others
  • Repeated disregard for organiser instructions or venue rules
  • Illegal activity or conduct that brings TGWG community into disrepute

Consequences of Breaching This Code

The Girls Who Gather reserves the right to refuse entry, ask an attendee to leave an event or remove access to any TGWG community platform if this Code of Conduct is breached.

Depending on the circumstances, participation in future events, WhatsApp groups or other community spaces may be temporarily suspended or permanently revoked.

Where a participant is removed from an event due to a breach of this Code of Conduct, no refund will be provided.

Acknowledgement
