Meet Our Founder, Maddie 🀍

Hi, I'm Maddie, the founder of The Girls Who Gather πŸ’—

After experiencing my own mental health journey, I know how easy it can be to withdraw from the world and lose confidence in putting yourself out there. At the time, socialising was the last thing I wanted to do, but looking back, I realised just how important genuine female friendships are, not only during life's difficult moments, but throughout every stage of life.

That realisation inspired me to create The Girls Who Gather: a welcoming community where women aged 18+ can step outside their comfort zone, meet like-minded women and build genuine friendships in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

I know attending your very first event can feel intimidating. So many of our girls arrive feeling nervous or anxious, wondering if they'll fit in or if they'll know anyone, and that is completely normal! But time and time again, I watch those same women leave our events chatting, laughing and exchanging phone numbers with women who were strangers just a few hours earlier.

Watching women encourage, empower and genuinely support one another is the reason I started TGWG. Seeing friendships form, confidence grow and women realise they don't have to navigate life alone is the most rewarding part of building this community.

Whether you join us for a Hot Girl Walk, a fitness or wellness event, a girls' night out or one of our many community experiences, I hope you leave with meaningful connections, lasting memories and the confidence of knowing you'll always have a place here.

I can't wait to welcome you to The Girls Who Gather! 🀍
